An Interview with Anya Law

Anya Law's blog ia a haven for those who have natural products at the forefront of their skincare routine. For anyone who's curious about incorporating some natural remedies into their routine or wanting to completely revamp, Anya's blog is a great place to start. Below, she answers a few questions about natural skincare!

Why do you prefer natural skincare?

Law: "It's ingrained in my background and my culture. Where I come from in India, we tend to fix health problems with holistic medicine or homemade remedies. If we have a cold the first instinct is to eat some honey or chew on a little piece of ginger. So, I think that translates into my topical application as well."

When did you start?

Law: "When I was having issues with ance my family would suggest different remedies and I've grown up with them so that's why I believe in them. So many people use a product and say it didn't work or didn't do what it said it would do--but with natural remedies you don't have that issue. And if you do it's not as drastic because you're not using a bunch of mystery chemicals."

What's your favorite brand?

Law: "Forest Essentials--it's an Indian brand that's sold online. You should try to Jasmine Body Lotion."

What's your favorite at-home remedy?

Law: "I use a Tumeric and honey mask twice a week. Tumeric is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and works like honey to brighten. It makes my skin so soft afterward because the lactic acid in the yogurt helps to plump and hydrate. I also love coconut oil for everything--I use it every time I shampoo my hair."

While I can't bring myself to fully switch over, I love incorperating natural product into my routine as they can have amazing benfits.
