Skincare Routine: PM

My nighttime routine is a lot of what I do on my intense, pamper day. Minus the masking and extra exfoliation. It's when I get my skin really clean and then pump all the nutrients and hydration back in. Since I don't do that much in the mornings, it's important for me to take a lot of time out to dedicate to my face at nighttime.

1.

Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm - In Korean skincare, a first-step oil cleanser is vital. Oil cleansers get all of the surface dirt and debris from the day (and makeup if you wear it) and leave your skin ready for the second-step cleanser. This is an important process, because if you jump right into your favorite gel cleanser then you'll be wasting all of the befits you skin gets from it because it will just be, basically, wiping off the dirt from your skin. Using one of the plastic paddles, I scoop a dime-sized glob of the balm into my palm and massage it all over my face and neck for a good five minutes before wiping off with a warm washcloth. I'm not married to this cleansing balm, and I used to use pure jojoba oil as my first-step cleanser before I found this. It's the first balm cleanser I've used, and I like it well enough. However, when I finish I'll probably venture out and try a different balm.

2.

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser - Really gentle, balancing face wash that I've talked enough about. I'm really into trying diffetent face washes, but I'll be repurchasing this one and sticking to it for a little while because I really like what it's doing for my face.

3.

Glossier Solution - A nice chemical exfoliator that has changed my skin. I've missed a few days, and I can see my skin fluxuating and getting bad when I forget to use it. Already in my car for when I run out.

4.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Essence Lotion - I used to hate this essence because I didn't think it was doing anything for me. Now that I've streamlined the products I use (before I was using 2-6 serums and essences per day), I've really fallen in love with this one. It's really hydrating and nourishing.

5.

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me - Like this, but don't love it. I'll be trying something different when I get finished with this one. Maybe, now that the weather is warmer, I won't need something this thick and I'll go back to just using the Neutrogena.
